Please note:
Indigo is what gives blue jeans their colour. But because it is not water-soluble, it has to be “reduced” before dyeing. In the so-called “1-2-3” or “organic” vat (not suitable for animal fibres), fructose and slaked lime are used for this purpose. You can find a recipe here (it also works if you are already on our newsletter list). If in doubt, please read it before ordering.
