Anna & Juan Merino – Ready to Dye

Anna & Juan’s merino yarns are smooth, naturally/plant dyed, evenly-twisted and round yarn with great stitch definition – ideal for knitting patterns with textures, cables and lace. With a fibre fineness of 19.5 µm they are very soft, can be worn directly on the skin and are also suited for baby wear.

Our merino yarns are produced in controlled organic animal farming (kbT) and are mulesing-free.

Difference “ready to dye” and colour “Edelweiss” (undyed):
“Ready for dyeing” is the unsteamed preliminary stage of “Edelweiss”: In this form we receive the yarn – unsteamed – from the twisting mill. Only after dyeing and washing the fibres run beautifully parallel and give the yarn its volume and evenness. Theoretically, it can also be wound directly into a ball* and used for knitting, but the gauge swatches will not necessarily match the final knitted piece. So it may still change in tension and size after washing.
