Raglan Cardigan in Children’s Size – with Simone Ryan
You will learn how to knit a cardigan in children’s sizes (0 – 5 years) from top to bottom in one piece in the round. You will see step by step how to set up a raglan piece with detailed written instructions as a supplement.
In the first class we will cast on the cardigan and start the yoke. On the second evening we will separate the stitches for the body from those for the sleeves and begin to start knitting the body. In the third part we will finish the body (including the button rows) and start with the sleeves. On the fourth and last evening we will finish the whole cardigan if possible – or at least you will now have all the information you need to finish it at home by yourself. In addition, you will learn how to calculate a size that fits you so that you will be able to knit a cardigan for yourself.

Scissors, some leftover yarn (2 x around 20cm) to put stitches on hold, measuring tape, tapestry needle
Simone Ryan:
Simone was born and raised in Switzerland. She’s a passionate knitter and newbie knitwear designer, while mainly being a mom to a two-year-old and a student at UZH.
Knitting has been in Simone’s family for a couple of generations and has always fascinated her. Her motivation to start knitting garments, was being able to realize own design ideas and to get away from synthetic materials. Throughout the past year knitting has become a serious passion of hers. She wants to share a part of that evergrowing love for knitting and yarn with you by passing on some of her knowledge.
