Circular Knitting – (Intermediate Level) | Anna & Juan

Circular Knitting – (Intermediate Level)

When knitting in the round you can create seamless tubular pieces that can be shaped into hats, socks, gloves and sweaters. Unlike flat knitting, you are always facing the right side of the fabric, there are few or no seams to join and you can work uninterruptedly.

In this intermediate course you will learn how to use double pointed needles, join stitches invisibly, create round shapes and make flawless stripes.

During this course we will guide you through three different projects: a beanie, a pair of mittens and socks.

Day 1:
Circular needle types: double pointed needles, cable needles
Joining techniques
Stitch markers
Simple beanie (bottom up)
Stripes in the round

Day 2:

Twisted German cast-on
Socks (part I): leg, heel flap, heel turning
