DESCRIPTION:For most\, the creative textile process begins with the selecti
 on of yarn. But what if we can already design the yarn ourselves? \n\nIn t
 his workshop you will learn how to spin a thread from wool fibers with the
  hand spindle. Because it is easier\, we will use wool from Bündner Oberl
 and sheep from the Zurich Oberland. \n\nIn between the spinning exercises 
 we will take a look at the whole process from fiber to yarn: the washing o
 f raw wool\, the different fiber preparations and different types of spind
 les.\n\nAt the end we will twist the threads into a first yarn.  \n\nYou c
 an take the simple hand spindle and a selection of carded fleece and combe
