DESCRIPTION:In the context of the exhibiton furor floralis  we offer our wo
 rkshop "Plant Dyes" at the Textilmuseum St. Gallen. (For further informati
 on about the exibition see below.)\n\nPlant Dyes:\nPlant dyed fibers are s
 urprisingly colourful and bright. With the right precautions they are a tr
 ue and sustainable alternative to industrial and synthetic techniques.\n\n
 Some ingredients are found in every kitchen\, others can be cultivated qui
 te easily. Anna & Juan are going to show you the basics of plant dyes. Dur
 ing this workshop you will dye your own yarn or piece of silk (approx. 175
  x 35 cm).\n\nDuration total:\n6 hours\n\nDirection:\nAnna &amp\; Juan\n\n

 \nNumber of participants:\nmax. 10\n\nIncluded:\nMaterial (wool or piece o
 f silk)\, soft drink\, printed instructions\, giveaway\n\n\n\nExhibition f
 uror floralis:\n\n\nFlower mania! Whether a flamboyant sea of flowers\, a 
 wild mass of tendrils or tenderly scattered blossoms\; whether arranged as
  decorative posies or as stylised geometric ornaments: floral motifs have 
 dominated textile designs from the Middle Ages to the present. With its ga
 rden of glorious flowerpatterned textiles\, the “furor floralis” exhib
 ition reveals the intriguing parallels between textile design and horticul
 ture. The lavish arrangement from the museum’s own collection is complem
 ented by selected costumes and textiles from a private collection as well 
 as garden plans from the landscape architecture archives in Rapperswil.\n\
