DESCRIPTION:Macramé is a textile technique that consists of knotting cords
  together to make a wide range of objects: from wall decor\, lamps and rug
 s\, to bags\, belts and bracelets. Although it became very popular in the 
 70’s\, it has a much longer tradition and has been known for centuries i
 n many different places all around the world. \n\nDuring this 4-hour class
  Dörte will show you the basics of this amazing technique and how to make
  wall hangings. Macramé is a craft that enables you to create many more p
 roducts after attending this introductory workshop. You will be able to ma
 ke beautiful and modern decor items.\n\nDörte Bundt is a designer and the
  founder of California Dreaming\, a Berlin based macramé design studio de
 dicated to reviving traditional macramé techniques and styles in modern h
 omes.\n\n[col_half]\n\n[/col_half]\n[col_half_last]\n\n[/col_half_last]\n\
 nEstablished in 2013\, the label has experimented and produced a range of 
 designs from ‘ready-to-hang’ macramé models available online and in r
 etail stores\, in addition to larger commissioned works for clients in gal
 leries\, restaurants and trade show environments. Having been truly inspir
 ed firsthand by spectacular interiors witnessed throughout a road-trip alo
 ng the West Coast of America\, back in Germany\, Bundt located and salvage
 d old instructional material\, dead-stock rope\, and taught herself basic 
 macramé design principles to launch the first product range of California
  Dreaming. The catalog has grown substantially in the following years\, ac
 commodating designs of far more complexity and purpose (baby-swings\, marr
 iage-altars\, room dividers) and allowed for Bundt to develop her own trad
 emark knots and decorative flourishes to the classic\, timeless macramé t
 raditions. \n\nAs she prepares to unveil a series of new designs\, Dörte 
 Bundt brings an exciting afternoon workshop to Anna & Juan for exploring a
