 hop or course.\n\n\nMacramé is a textile technique that consists of knott
 ing cords together to make a wide range of objects: from wall decor\, lamp
 s and rugs\, to bags\, belts and bracelets. Although it became very popula
 r in the 70’s\, it has a much longer tradition and has been known for ce
 nturies in many different places all around the world. \n\nDuring this 3-h
 our class Dörte will show you the basics of this amazing technique and ho
 w to make a shopping bag. Macramé is a craft that enables you to create m
 any more products after attending this introductory workshop. You will be 
 able to make beautiful and modern decor items.\n\nDörte Bundt is a design
 er and the founder of California Dreaming\, a Berlin based macramé design
  studio dedicated to reviving traditional macramé techniques and styles i
 n modern homes.\n\nEstablished in 2013\, the label has experimented and pr
 oduced a range of designs from ‘ready-to-hang’ macramé models availab
 le online and in retail stores\, in addition to larger commissioned works 
 for clients in galleries\, restaurants and trade show environments. Having
  been truly inspired firsthand by spectacular interiors witnessed througho
 ut a road-trip along the West Coast of America\, back in Germany\, Bundt l
 ocated and salvaged old instructional material\, dead-stock rope\, and tau
 ght herself basic macramé design principles to launch the first product r
 ange of California Dreaming. The catalog has grown substantially in the fo
 llowing years\, accommodating designs of far more complexity and purpose (
 baby-swings\, marriage-altars\, room dividers) and allowed for Bundt to de
 velop her own trademark knots and decorative flourishes to the classic\, t
 imeless macramé traditions. \n\nAs she prepares to unveil a series of new
  designs\, Dörte Bundt brings an exciting afternoon workshop to Anna & Ju
 an for exploring and partaking in the ancient yet modern macramé craft.\n
