 uries it has been used on almost all continents to dye textiles and it rem
 ains in vogue also nowadays. The most popular article of clothing owes its
  color to indigo: the Blue Jeans. But considering the complexity of the dy
 eing process it is rather astonishing that so many cultures discovered thi
 s wonderful source of color. \n\nThis crash course will give you an insigh
 t into indigo dyeing – which oftentimes appears to be magic. You will le
 arn a recipe\, dye various textile samples and a piece of silk (approx. 17
