Crash Course Plant Dyes – Stitching Retreat at Greifensee

The 3rd Stitching Reatreat takes place from May 8th – 10th at the beautiful Greifensee and offers a causy get-together, relaxation, handcrafts and yummi food – but also interesting workshops and a market place. We are part of it with a crash course on plant dyes and a market stand.

Crash Course Plant Dyes:
Plant dyed fibers are surprisingly colourful and bright. With the right precautions they are a true and sustainable alternative to industrial and synthetic techniques.

Anna & Juan are going to show you the basics of dyeing with plant material. During this crash course you will dye your own yarn or silk scarf.

4 hours, 1 hours lunch break

Bring along:
Work cloths and shoes (both might get dirty) and if possible rubber gloves

Material included:
Plant dyes, silk scarf (170 x 35 cm, organic silk) or wool (50 – 100 , depending on the quality), printed information and give away.
