SUMMARY:Christmas Special Colourwork Sock Workshop – with Charlotte Stone
  (Stone Knits)
DESCRIPTION:This Christmas special colourwork sock workshop will help give 
 you the skills and confidence to knit stranded colourwork on small needles
 . Knitting colourwork socks can initially be challenging but very rewardin
 g and fun and will create beautiful results. This workshop aims to give yo
 u the confidence to tackle any colourwork but will be concentrating on the
  perfect for the holidays “Winter Deer” sock pattern designed by Charl
 otte. Together\, with Charlotte’s support\, we will knit the colourwork 
 section of her Christmas pattern together. Charlotte will also demonstrate
  techniques for knitting the colourwork heel which includes purling colour
 work.\n\nTogether we will learn various techniques for you to be able to k
 nit colourwork in small circumferences. We will discuss putting colours to
 gether for colourwork\, revisit techniques for knitting colourwork (Englis
 h “throwing” style and continental)\, learn more about gauge and tensi
 on to get your socks to fit well\, long floats management\, fixing mistake
 s and Charlotte’s own personal tips and tricks for knitting her own colo
 urwork sock designs. \n\nAfter attending this workshop you should have the
  skills and confidence to complete your own pair of “Winter Deer” sock
 s in time for the holidays and be confident enough to start working on oth
 er colourwork knitting patterns which require small needles (e.g.\, socks 
 and mittens).\n\nCharlotte Stone:\nCharlotte Stone is the creator behind S
 tone Knits and is internationally known for her love of knitting whimsical
  colourwork designs\, particularly for colourwork socks. Her designs can b
 e found online on Ravelry and photos of her work on Instagram. Knitting si
 nce she was a small child In England with her grandma\, she started design
 ing original colourwork patterns in 2017 and has never looked back. Charlo
 tte lives currently with her family in the hills above Zurich and is inspi
 red everyday by the beautiful Swiss scenery.\n\nDuration total:\n3 hours\n

 ngering weight sock yarn\, approx. 50 g \nContrast Colour 1 (CC1\, for hee
 ls and toes): approx. 20 g\nContrast Colour 2 (CC2\, for deer and star pat
 tern): approx. 15 g \n\nYou can find beautiful\, sustainable sock wool for
  example at MariMar Strickcafé.\n\nNeedles for socks: needle size you nee
 d for knitting plain socks of 64 stitches and the needle size above. For e
 xample: If you knit plain socks with sock needles in size 2.25 mm you will
  need size 2.5 mm for the colourwork sections.\n\nHomework in advance:\nIf
  possible – cast on 64 sts with CC2 and knit ribbing K1\, P1 for 1 rnd. 
 Change to main colour and continue ribbing for a further 14 rnds.\n\n[col_
