DESCRIPTION:“This workshop will explore Adriana’s own design of hand em
 broidery A-Z floral lettering.\n\nIn this personalized workshop each stude
 nt will learn the stitches from the sampler that she or he likes the most.
  From the most popular to the most difficult and unknown. They also will l
 earn to combine different thicknesses and amounts of strands according to 
 each stitch. This way of working gives to the embroidery an aesthetic rich
  in textures and a strong aspect of simplicity\, which is the style that c
 haracterizes the work of Adriana.\n\nNot only they'll learn all the tricks
  of Adriana\, from how to thread the needle to how to embroider knotless\,
  which stitches go better with wool or cotton\, but the students will work
  on a previously silkscreened fabric\, which makes the task much more plea
 sant.\n\nEach workshop is a complete class and is suitable for all\, from 
 beginners to experienced stitchers who wish to take their needlework to th

 _half]\nAdriana Torres\, artist\, illustrator and founder of Miga de Pan h
 as studied architecture and graphic design at the University of Buenos Air
 es. Her collection was distinguished with the Seal of Good Design\, an off
 icial distinction awarded by the Ministry of Industry to the national indu
 stry products that stands for innovation\, for its commitment to local pro
 duction\, by its position in the market and its quality design.\n\nHer lab
 el was selected by Ministry of Foreign Affairs to be part of the national 
 pavilions at 100% Design London\, Maison & Object Paris\, and Pitti Bimbo 
 in Italy representing Argentine design. \nShe received the first prize in 
 the national contest of artisans organized by the “National Fund for the
  Arts”\, which is part of the Cultural National Secretary of Argentina i

 ica (California) and Philadelphia (at Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters H
 Q).\nShe participated with her embroidery artworks at several collective a
 rt exhibitions in Buenos Aires\, Paris and Leipzig.\nHer work was publishe
 d by Thames and Hudson in “The New Artisans”\; DPI magazine (Taiwan)\;
  Super Handmade (China)\, Stich•illo by Uppercase (Canada)\; Frankie (Au
 stralia)\, Selvedge (UK) and was the cover of Embroidery Magazine (United
