Blumengraffiti by Maurice Maggi

Today we went to Zürich for a meeting and found some beautiful Hollyhocks (Alcea rosea) planted on a street’s flowerbed. This is part of Swiss artist Maurice Maggi‘s “guerilla sowing”, which consists of seeding unofficially to embellish the city.
The flowers of this plant can be used for dyeing and yield a green-blue colour. Collect the seeds in autumn (or buy them) and plant them outside in spring or summer.
